My first blog

I LOVE hearing people talk enthusiastically about the weather. Here in the south, and probably lots of other places, people like to talk about the weather as an icebreaker. Sometimes people really amp up their weather talk by throwing in some, "MMmmman!"s or some, "Bbbbrrrrrr!"s or just to act very interested in the weather when really they may just be unsure of what to say at that particular moment, perhaps, b/c they don't have much in common with the person being addressed or b/c they don't know them well. I am one of these weather talkers. I do it all the time. I'm sure other people find my conversation starters quite compelling (chortle). Sadly, I actually find the weather interesting some of the time so if you ever catch me bringing it up it could be b/c I am actually meteoroligically curious. I'm kind of a sucker for tornadoes, but that's another blog...
